What to do when you are waiting for a baby....

Take a running leap and throw yourself onto your dog's bed:

Play outside on a chili Saturday morning. Climbing and sliding for a solid workout:

Or, try being social. Hang out with your cousin or some buddies to pass the time:

See? Waiting for a baby is easy! Especially when you are the big brother.

For mom and dad, perhaps notsomuch. But as of Wednesday, September 2nd, we have reached 38 weeks which is a great milestone for us considering I was concerned we wouldn't make it past 37. Every day she cooks is a little better for her at this stage, but I am feeling more ready both physically and emotionally. My appointment tomorrow morning will tell a lot- if I'm dilated further, what he thinks about my blood pressure and maybe he'll even take a stab at the baby's size. Here's the officially-enormous belly at 38 weeks:

And a sneak peak at her room that is almost done. Ideally, I still need some window treatments, wall accessories, a floor lap and a few other finishing touches, but I have a feeling she won't notice for awhile and once she does, I will have hopefully had a chance to finish things up in there.

We are feeling incredibly blessed and lucky to have been on the receiving end of kindness and generosity of our friends and family this past week. Numerous people have brought food, snacks, goody baskets, have helped with projects, or have just come for a visit which has been imperative to my sanity while laying in bed. Kevin's office has been very understanding and supportive and our family has been great. THANK YOU EVERYONE... Can't wait to introduce you all to our newest family member!

I'm gonna say it again, that nursury is like a baby wonderland. It's just beautiful. You should send it into ohdeedo.com!!!

You are doing an awesome job of being patient.

If the baby doesn't come by Friday, can I bring dinner again?

Lots of love!!
