Cecilia's baptism

Well, after 7 months and 13 days, we finally had this child baptized! The very kind Father Bob from St. Jude's performed the sacrement at St. John's before everyone headed back to our house to celebrate with food and cake.

It was really nice to have a day to celebrate CeCe. True to her nature, she could not have been sweeter or more easy-going, even while she was getting doused with the water. She never fussed, went down for her nap like an angel and adored all the attention and beautiful gifts she received. The weather was perfect- high 60s and sunny, which was nice for getting everyone outdoors and taking some pictures. My only regret is that we didn't get many of her in her dress. She's obviously way too big to wear the Willig family's baptismal gown that all of my family, including myself and Preston wore for our baptisms, so I found something simple and sweet that would work, but it was less traditional. Thank you so much to everyone that shared in her baptismal day, and a huge thank you to Dan and Lisa, her aunt and uncle who will serve as her Godparents and will play a special role in her faith as she grows up.

What a blessing of love and light this baby girl has been to us!
